Best Practices of using Cached Mode in Microsoft Outlook 2003

After the OST file is created by Outlook 2003 client, how can we check whether it has been created in ANSI mode or unicode mode? Is there any method to check this out?

ANSI/Unicode mode is something that affects PST's only in 2003. If you create a .PST in 2003, you tend to create it in Unicode mode. A .OST doesn't really suffer from the same size limit's that a .PST does, however it does suffer from a performance impact if it grows over 1 or 2 GB's. HAve a look at
