At first I wasn't keen on Facebook but everyone I work with was doing it. I signed up and at first it was cool, I could add people I work with as friends, "poke" them, and laugh at their silly high school pictures. I then started adding some real friends, which was great because it offered me another way to stay in contact with people in Winnipeg.
