    I think we had a bandwith issue. We were also having DNS issues but I'm not sure if that was related.

    How big is the affected users mailbox? if the mailbox is too huge, cached profile takes longer time to build the ost.

    Have you tried to create totally new profile and tried for these users? Are these clients enabled for multiple protocols - e.g. tcp/ip & ipx/spx?

    Sometimes, this kind of problems happens due to dns/wins issues. Alternatively, you could try adding your server name & ip address into the lmhosts/hosts files.
