SharePoint timer job definitions are not restored successfully

When you back up a Windows SharePoint Services Web application or a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 Web application, and then you restore this application to a new farm, some SharePoint timer job definitions are not restored successfully.

CAUSE
This issue occurs when timer job definitions that are associated with a Web application are not successfully created during a restore.

RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, before you restore the backup to the new farm, you must manually create a new Web application in Windows SharePoint Services or in Office SharePoint
