Using a program called hamachi you can securely set up your own VPN easily. This allows you to access your home network shares from anywhere you have an internet connection. Site gives step by step directions. (site is dedicated to the EEE pc but guide works on all computers).. more »

I am currently rewriting the XP installation for increased compatibility, the current tutorial works well for windows fundamentals but many have been having problems getting regular XP to install with it. The revised tutorial should have 100% compatibility and will be posted later today. I'm busy now testing to see if it is better to install .. more »
Internal EEE mod 2 more usb ports

Johnx over at forum.eeeusers.com came up with a mod that gives you 2 extra usb ports. It is a very neat mod and uses space that is already open for the secondary mini pci-e card. There is some soldering involved but once this mod is complete you can add internal bluetooth and a 16GB flash drive. (or just about any usb device that will fit). This .. more »

This tutorial will show you how to slim down your Windows XP install using the program nlite. A few people have followed this tutorial and I haven't heard any reports of people having problems installing drivers or software afterwards so it's pretty safe to do.
