What is causing Host Services Stopped error message? Not update

I am getting the error message but my startup error message isn't the update
message, it just says Trend Micro couldn't update. Also, periodically, my new
computer completely drops my printer and everything associated with it and
can't even find the printer (wireless and right next to the computer). I have
to reinstall the computer software (huge) to use the printer. I don't know if
these two are related. Also, it is not letting me backup my files onto my
external harddrive. Lastly, my computer boots up a ton of programs not listed
in startup that
